About the event

Why learn Dog Bite First Aid?

Because, over 100,000 people in Australia / 6,000 in Brisbane alone, per year are bitten by dogs. This could be your own beautiful pups, I am sorry to say; they may be unwell or injured, they may be anxious or feeling fearful; it could be a wandering dog in the community, where they may attack you as you defend your dog or child. The fact is, that children 10 years and younger are the major victims of dog bites and you as the parent, or infact pawrent, if the victim is your dog, have a responsibility to learn how to administer emergency first aid.

Why? because they may

1. bleed to death;

2. be exposed to life threatening bacterial infection

3. go into shock and experience multi organ failure
