The app is designed to:

• Provide emergency guidance

• Support dog owners during critical moments

• Help bridge the gap between a sudden collapse and professional veterinary care

FurShield does not provide veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

2. Not a Substitute for Veterinary Care

FurShield does not replace:

• A qualified veterinarian

• Professional veterinary diagnosis

• Emergency veterinary treatment

• Ongoing medical care

 

If your dog is injured, collapses, or shows signs of illness:

The app is intended to support you until veterinary care is available, not instead of it.

3. Emergency Situations & Time-Critical Care

Emergencies involving cardiac arrest, breathing failure, collapse, trauma, poisoning, or heat illness are time-critical and unpredictable.

While FurShield is designed to guide users through recognised emergency response principles (including CPR), outcomes can never be guaranteed.

The user understands and accepts that:

• Every dog is different

• Not all emergencies are survivable

• Delays in veterinary care may affect outcomes

• Instructions may need to be adapted to the situation

 

4. Practice Drills & Training Mode Disclaimer

FurShield includes Practice Drills / Training Mode designed to help users become familiar with emergency response steps.

 

Practice Drills:

• Are simulated scenarios

• Do not represent live emergencies

• Are not a guarantee of performance during real events

 

Training or practice use does not replace:

• Formal veterinary training

• Accredited animal first aid courses

• Hands-on professional instruction

 

Users should never delay seeking veterinary care because they are practicing or relying on training content.

5. CPR & First Aid Guidance

Any CPR, breathing assistance, or first aid guidance provided:

• Is based on general emergency response principles

• Is intended for short-term emergency support

• May not be suitable for every dog or condition

Improper application of CPR or first aid may cause injury. The user accepts full responsibility for how they apply the guidance.

Fursafe®, FurShield®, and its creators cannot be held liable for injury, loss, or death of an animal arising from use of the app.

• Device failure

• App interruptions

• Internet or offline access issues
