These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the FurShield – Sudden Collapse CPR App (“FurShield”, “the App”), operated by FURSAFE / SOLE TRADER], ABN 48 346 248 537, located at 16 Hetherington Ave, Bulimba Qld 4171 (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Purpose of FurShield

FurShield provides emergency guidance, educational content, and general information regarding canine CPR and first aid actions to assist owners during a sudden collapse event.

FurShield does not provide veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

It is an informational tool only. Always seek immediate veterinary care in any emergency.

2. Medical & Emergency Disclaimer

• FurShield is not a substitute for professional veterinary care.

• The CPR steps, information, and video guidance are generalised and may not apply to every dog or every situation.

• Using FurShield does not guarantee the prevention of injury, illness, or death.

• You acknowledge that emergency outcomes depend on many factors, including timing, technique, and your dog’s condition.

By using the App, you accept that you are solely responsible for your actions during an emergency.

3. Eligibility

You must be:

• At least 16 years old, and

• Legally capable of agreeing to these Terms.

Parents/guardians are responsible for minors using the App.

​

4. License to Use the App

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use FurShield for its intended purpose.

You must not:

• Copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract source code

• Use FurShield for commercial training without permission

• Sell, sublicense, or distribute the App or its content

• Interfere with the App’s functionality or security

All intellectual property remains owned by [BUSINESS NAME] / Fursafe.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the App safely and appropriately

• Contact a veterinarian immediately in any emergency

• Ensure your device is charged and able to display the App offline

You acknowledge that critical situations may prevent the App from being accessed (e.g., phone damage, low battery), and this risk is outside our control.

6. No Data Collection

FurShield does not collect, store, or transmit personal data.
Any contact you initiate via “Contact Us” is voluntary and sent by your email provider.

7. Third-Party Links

The App may contain external links (e.g., Fursafe eBook).
We are not responsible for external content, accuracy, or availability.

8. Updates & Changes

We may update or modify FurShield for improvements, safety, or compliance.
Updates may occur automatically.

​

We may also change these Terms from time to time.
Continued use of the App means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if:

• You misuse the App

• You breach these Terms

You may delete the App at any time to discontinue use.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law:

​

• We are not liable for any injury, loss, or death of an animal arising from the use or inability to use FurShield.

• We provide FurShield “as-is” without warranties.

• You use FurShield at your own risk.

Nothing in these Terms removes rights guaranteed under Australian Consumer Law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
Any disputes must be resolved in Queensland courts or tribunals.

12. Optional Registration for Updates (Phase 1 Participants)

Phase 1 users may choose to voluntarily submit their name and email address through the FurShield or Fursafe website to receive notifications, training information, product updates, and Phase 2 announcements.

​

This optional registration:

• occurs outside the app,

• is processed through our website, and

• is not required to use the App.

​​

Information submitted through the website is handled in accordance with the Fursafe Website Privacy Policy.
