No. FurShield is designed to support dog owners during the critical moments before professional veterinary care is available. If your dog is unwell or injured, always seek veterinary attention as soon as possible.

Do I need CPR or first aid training to use FurShield?

No prior training is required. FurShield is designed to guide you step by step during an emergency.
However, we strongly encourage all pet parents to learn CPR and first aid for dogs. Familiarising yourself with the app and emergency steps ahead of time can help you feel calmer and more confident if an emergency ever occurs.

Should I practice using the app before an emergency?

Yes — this is highly recommended.
Going through the app and emergency steps in advance helps you ingrain the process, so if a critical moment occurs, the steps feel more familiar and easier to follow under stress.

What if I panic or feel unsure during an emergency?

That’s completely normal. FurShield is designed with clear visuals, simple instructions, and a calm flow to help support you when emotions are high. The app is there to guide you, one step at a time.

Will FurShield save my dog’s life?

FurShield does not make guarantees. Every emergency is different.
The purpose of FurShield is to help you take action, support your dog, and give them their best possible chance until a veterinarian can take over.

Yes. FurShield is designed to work offline, so emergency guidance is available even when reception is limited or unavailable.

Which dogs is FurShield suitable for?

FurShield is designed for dogs of all sizes. Additional guidance and updates, including content for small dogs and brachycephalic breeds, will be added over time.
